Wassily Wassilyevich Kandinsky is a Russian painter. Born in Moscow, he lived in Odessa, and graduated from the Grekov Odessa Art School. He enrolled at Moscow University to study law and economics. Kandinsky began studying painting at the age of 30. Kandinsky is famous for his abstract art. At the end of his life, he moved to France, took French nationality in 1939 and created some of his best-known works.

Birth : 16 December 1866 in Moscow, Russian Empire.
Death : 13 December 1944 (aged 77) in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France.
